The McDonough Warhawks are ranked highly in their home state, and on Wednesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Benton Panthers. McDonough slipped by Benton 58-57. The victory was nothing new for McDonough as they're now sitting on four straight.
Keenan Gray continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of McDonough's points. Another player making a difference was Zion Greene, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five assists.
McDonough's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Benton, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.
McDonough is on the road again on Thursday and play against Little Rock Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on December 28th. Benton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Silsbee at 11:30 a.m. on December 28th. Silsbee has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,173 points over their last 16 matches.
