Meanwhile, McDonald County pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Carl Junction 65-60. McDonald County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Willard's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for McDonald County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Willard couldn't quite finish off McDonald County in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 54-51. Can Willard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
