Southfield Christian moved up to 370 from 397 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Michigan Independent. The Eagles were able to move up by defeating University Liggett 20-8.
University Liggett's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Thomas Jackson has thrown for 423 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Lordanthony Grissom has 17 catches for 247 yards. Jackson also leads the league in rushing with 248 yards.
The Knights' offense has racked up 68 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Parkway Christian has allowed only 65 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Parkway Christian takes on University Liggett. Todd Francis' team is in second place, while Dan Cimini's team is in fourth place.
Oakland Christian led Michigan Independent in scoring this week after putting up 29 points on Parkway Christian.
