Meanwhile, Rock Port strolled past DeKalb with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 59-43. Given Rock Port's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while DeKalb is ranked 525th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Bannack Skillen, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jack Meyerkorth, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
King City has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Rock Port, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
