Mount St. Mary Academy is 0-10 against St. Mary since May of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Thunder will be playing at home against the Lancers at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Mount St. Mary Academy not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024 (when they won 24-6). They came out on top against Kenmore West by a score of 9-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The game was the first time the Thunder have beaten the Blue Devils on their field since March 27, 2019.
Taylor Zajac and Isabella Kilonsky made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Zajac didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Kilonsky tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. At the plate, Zajac went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while Kilonsky went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Mount St. Mary Academy got a big performance out of Claire Gaulin, who went 1-for-5 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave Gaulin a new career-high. Liliana Misterkiewicz was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs and one double.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 15-5 win.
Olivia Lange looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lauren Payne was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Dovey, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
St. Mary's hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.
The victory got Mount St. Mary Academy back to even at 1-1. As for St. Mary's, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
