A feisty cat fight will be fought as Southeast Lauderdale Tigers duke it out with Sebastopol Bobcats at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Southeast Lauderdale's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on McLaurin with a sharp 15-0 victory. Southeast Lauderdale hasn't had any issues with McLaurin recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Kaleigh Butler was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Southeast Lauderdale let Harper Simmons and Adrianna Stephens run wild. Simmons scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2, while Stephens scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Simmons a new career-high. Karly Hollingsworth was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
Southeast Lauderdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .870. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Sebastopol had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Jaguars 20-2. 20 seems to be a good number for the Bobcats as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Sebastopol got a massive performance out of Kadence Robertson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Robertson has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Crout, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.
Southeast Lauderdale's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Sebastopol, their record is now 13-1.
Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Southeast Lauderdale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .432. However, it's not like Sebastopol struggles in that department as they've averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
