Voyager is 4-0 against Eno River since February of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Voyager Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Eno River Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. Voyager knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Eno River likes a good challenge.
Voyager can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They breezed by Roxboro Community on the road to the tune of 89-49. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 54-26.
Voyager can attribute much of their success to Alex Wilder, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilder has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Green, who scored eight points.
Eno River suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 70-45 walloping at the hands of Vance Charter. Eno River has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losing side was boosted by Corey Amyot, who scored 18 points. Jacob Manning was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Voyager's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Eno River, they bumped their record down to 5-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Voyager took their win against Eno River when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 70-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Voyager since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
