Northridge has gone a perfect 9-0 against Westview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Raiders will host the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Northridge will be strutting in after a victory while Westview will be coming in after a loss.
Northridge will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on April 2nd, then bounced right back against Lakeland on Wednesday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 15-7 win. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Braxton Nagy looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Northridge let Brecken Gawthrop and Preston Ryan run wild. Gawthrop went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Ryan went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Brody Wood was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one double.
Northridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakeland only posted an OBP of .417.
Lakeland hit Westview with a five-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors fell just short of the Lakers by a score of 7-5.
Jack Massey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those runs were his first of the season.
Northridge pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Westview, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Westview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .543. It's a different story for Westview, though, as they've only averaged .318. Will they be able to contain Northridge's hitters?
Northridge was able to grind out a solid win over Westview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 10-7. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
