It was a good run, but the Carol City Chiefs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against North Miami Beach, falling 62-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Carol City has suffered since November 27, 2023.
Several Chiefs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Damari Maxi, who scored six points.
It was another big night for Jaycob Joseph, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and two steals for North Miami Beach. Joseph is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mateo Zamora, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Carol City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for North Miami Beach, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Carol City will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Dr. Krop at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Krop is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54 points per game. As for North Miami Beach, they will head out on the road to face off against North Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
