Cuba City is 8-2 against Iowa-Grant since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cubans will be playing at home against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cuba City comes in on four and Iowa-Grant on three.

Cuba City is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Darlington get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Cubans with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Iowa-Grant beat Seneca 9-6 on Saturday.

Quinn Hoeper made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. Hoeper was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Pajessa Baker, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Kite, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Cuba City's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Iowa-Grant, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Cuba City beat Iowa-Grant 4-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Cubans repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
