The Bradford Tornadoes put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over Lecanto at home. The result was nothing new for Bradford, who have now won five contests by 25 points or more so far this season.
Dae'jon ?6ixx? shanks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 194 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 112 yards and two touchdowns. Chalil Cummings did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Bradford's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points per game. As for Lecanto, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Bradford will be playing at home against Palatka at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Palatka will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Bradford is ranked 43rd). As for Lecanto, they will head out on the road to face off against Citrus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Citrus comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
