The Hudson Hornets are taking a road trip to challenge the Rusk Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hudson has six straight wins, Rusk has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Alberto Ibarra spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ty Riggs was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Bonacci, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hudson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Rusk lost 9-3 to Palestine on Tuesday.
Rusk saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Eckel, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Hudson's record now sits at 17-3. As for Rusk, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1.
Rusk's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hudson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326.
