Clewiston is 9-1 against Glades Central since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Clewiston Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Glades Central Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Glades Central took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Clewiston, who comes in off a win.
Even though Clewiston has not done well against LaBelle recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Clewiston slipped by LaBelle 51-50.
Clewiston found their leader in underclassman Milan Holomes, who scored 11 points along with nine steals. Another player making a difference was Tyra Fields, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Glades Central came up short against Moore Haven on Friday and fell 47-40. It was the first time this season that Glades Central let down their fans at home.
Clewiston is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Glades Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.
Clewiston came out on top in a nail-biter against Glades Central when the teams last played back in January of 2023, sneaking past 40-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clewiston since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
