The Kingston Cardinals will be playing at home against the Merrill Vandals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Saturday, Kingston faced Lenawee Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Kingston suffered a tough 48-28 loss at the hands of Lenawee Christian. Kingston's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Owen Corlis, who threw for 85 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Helton, who picked up 74 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Merrill entered their tilt with Webberville with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Merrill blew past Webberville, posting a 46-14 win on the road.
Kingston's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Merrill, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1.
