Ontario Christian's last matchup with Capistrano Valley Christian could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's  game on Friday. The Knights were beaten by the Eagles 55-21. The  loss leaves the Knights still looking for their first win of the season.
 Ontario Christian lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Isaiah Cordova, who rushed for 85 yards and one  score on only ten carries.  Nathan Maldonado was another key player, rushing for 112 yards.
  Luke Vincent produced another solid  effort rushing for 278 yards and four  touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry for Capistrano Valley Christian. Vincent also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging  an  interception which he returned  for a touchdown.  Rocco Windham also helped out with an impressive 84  receiving yards.
Ontario Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, their  win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ontario Christian is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Village Christian  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Capistrano Valley Christian will  take on  rival Aquinas  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
