Leominster came out on top against Salem on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Blue Devils blew past the Witches 10-3. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Leominster pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.7 runs over those games. As for Salem, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leominster will square off against Wachusett Regional at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Devils 3.1, the Mountaineers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Salem, they will take on Bishop Fenwick at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
