The Cypress Ridge Rams will face off against the Fulshear Chargers on Saturday. Cypress Ridge will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Cypress Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Lamar 13-0. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Kayla Ortega made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ariel Arambula was incredible, firing off three home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. Brianna Morales was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Cypress Ridge lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lamar didn't launched any.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fulshear, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They had just enough and edged out Cinco Ranch 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chargers have posted since March 17th.
The team relied heavily on Riley Shipp, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Cypress Ridge's record is now 16-9. As for Fulshear, their record now sits at 13-14-1.
Fulshear's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Saturday. Cypress Ridge has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game.
