The Sugar Creek Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 60-15 win over Queen's Grant. That looming 60-15 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Sugar Creek yet this season.
Leading Sugar Creek to victory were Allure Bishop and Eriyana Anthony. Bishop scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Anthony dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anthony has scored all season. Hannah Mallette was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Triniti Hartis and Sarah Graham certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Hartis scored six points, while Graham scored six points. That was a full 40% of Queen's Grant's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Sugar Creek's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Queen's Grant, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Sugar Creek won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Comets at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st. Carolina International is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Queen's Grant, they will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Grace Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Friday.
