Softball Recap: Dakota Wins Going Away Against Trenton

Dakota lost to Trenton back in April of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Cougars blew past the Trojans 12-6. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Dakota has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Trenton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.

Dakota wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-7 loss against St. Mary's Prep on the 17th. As for Trenton, they are taking a road trip to take on Taylor at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Griffins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.22 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
