The Brush Beetdiggers will challenge the Bennett Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brush is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Brush is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Berthoud on Thursday. They lost 10-2 to the Spartans. The loss continues a trend for the Beetdiggers in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost four in a row.

Brush saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Mettlen, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Bennett fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Alameda on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 18-17. On the bright side, the 17- run effort marked the Tigers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Victor Herrera was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cougar Cronk, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Bennett's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-6. As for Brush, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Brush has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bennett struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Brush got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Bennett by a conclusive 11-4 score. Will the Beetdiggers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
