Chireno saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benji Blount, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
The win got West Sabine back to even at 2-2. As for Chireno, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything went West Sabine's way against Chireno in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as West Sabine made off with a 9-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Sabine since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
