Rains had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.1 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past the Mount Vernon Tigers 61-27. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 games by 22 points or more this season.

Kenzy Thompson produced another solid effort going 8-for-14 en route to 23 points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Arianna Philson, who posted five points and six assists.

Rains was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are a perfect 27-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Rains' victory bumped their record up to 29-4. As for Mount Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 16-16.

Rains wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 73-28 win against Prairiland on the 10th. As for Mount Vernon, they have also already played their next contest, a 52-31 defeat against Winnsboro on the 10th.
