The Forest Wildcats lost to the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave back in November of 2018, but the Forest Wildcats didn't allow the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave the same satisfaction on Monday. Forest managed a 58-54 win over P.K. Yonge.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ja'Niyah McCoy, who scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jiyah Hamilton, who scored 12 points along with five assists and two steals.
Forest now has a winning record of 11-10. As for P.K. Yonge, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forest won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Marion at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. North Marion is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. P.K. Yonge won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Vanguard at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Vanguard will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while P.K. Yonge is ranked 70th).
