Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Suncoast Chargers walked away with it. They blew past the Bulldogs 65-24 on the road on Monday. Winning may never get old, but Suncoast sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Suncoast's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nekeria Sutton led the charge by scoring 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sutton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Philleah Bright, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Suncoast is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Suncoast's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on February 7th. Dr. Joaquin Garcia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
