Bolles hasn't had much luck against Mandarin recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Mandarin took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bolles, who comes in off a win.
Bolles' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Orange Park 9-0. Considering the Bulldogs have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Madden Lutze made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, Leah Batts and Logan Gonzalez did most of the damage at the plate: Batts went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Gonzalez earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Batts has posted since back in April of 2025. Leighton Dostie was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Bolles hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 9-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Mandarin couldn't beat Sandalwood on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Mustangs fell just short of the Mighty Saints by a score of 5-4.
Bolles is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mandarin, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Mandarin's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Bolles has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Mandarin, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.9 strikeouts. Will Bolles keep running through batters, or will the Mustangs buck the trend?
Bolles might still be hurting after the 12-1 defeat they got from Mandarin when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
