Despite the loss, Leake Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sarah Prince went 5 of 10 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Prince has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Marleigh Myers, who posted six points and ten rebounds.
Leake Academy's defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-1. As for East Rankin Academy, they pushed their record up to 25-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
