The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gerstell Academy has scored all season.
Mercersburg Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Thaddeus Lee, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Lee's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Erik Oliver-Busch, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds.
Gerstell Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Mercersburg Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Gerstell Academy is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Concordia Prep at 5:30 p.m. on December 20th. Concordia Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Gerstell Academy is ranked 26th). Mercersburg Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pennington at 12:00 p.m. on December 17th. One thing working in Pennington's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
