The Florida State University High School Seminoles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 50-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forest.
Several Seminoles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leviah Henry, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Hackett, who scored 12 points.
Forest found their leader in underclassman Janaina Wess, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. Wess also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Taleah Jones was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Florida State University High School's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Forest, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florida State University High School will take on Munroe at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Munroe is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Forest, they will be playing at home against Dunnellon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunnellon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
