The Laurel Hill Hoboes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Florala 70-52. With that win, Laurel Hill brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Laurel Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiyana Dixon out in front who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. Dixon is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last seven games she's played. Lakyn Varnum was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
The win was the third in a row for Laurel Hill, bringing their record for this year to 11-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Florala, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.
Laurel Hill will head out on the road to square off against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rocky Bayou Christian will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Florala does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
