After losing to the Leyton Warriors the last time they met, the Potter-Dix Coyotes decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Potter-Dix came out on top against Leyton by a score of 50-39 on Tuesday.
Potter-Dix's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Kasten, who scored 14 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Kasten has scored at least 25% of Potter-Dix's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Tabor, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Leyton still got an impressive performance from Jonathan Kruse, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Kaleb Borges was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Leyton were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Potter-Dix now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Leyton, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Potter-Dix will take on Caliche at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leyton will be home for the holidays to greet Hemingford on Saturday. Hemingford is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
