Sheridan has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the DSST: Montview Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sheridan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 344th, while DSST: Montview is ranked 52nd).
Last Tuesday, Sheridan had to suffer through a rough 95-21 loss at the hands of Fort Lupton.
Meanwhile, DSST: Montview came tearing into Monday's match with 18 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 69-40 victory over Bennett at home. DSST: Montview has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Sheridan's loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for DSST: Montview, their win bumped their record up to 19-1.
Sheridan was taken down by DSST: Montview 84-34 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sheridan was down 49-11.
