The Glenburn Panther just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Tioga Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 32 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Glenburn and seven for Tioga.
On Monday, Glenburn took a serious blow against Westhope/Newburg, falling 76-41. Glenburn was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-24.
Meanwhile, Tioga was beaten by Trinity Christian 87-52 last Monday. While losing is never fun, Tioga can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Trinity Christian is ranked 32nd).
Glenburn's defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Tioga, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
Glenburn was taken down by Tioga 81-32 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Glenburn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
