After a string of ten wins, Grace Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors, falling 69-49. The Lions were probably out for revenge after losing 90-75 to them when the teams met back in January of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Grace Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Evan Buslovich, who posted nine points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Payne, who had nine points.

Tyler Gadd had an outrageously good game for Metrolina Christian Academy as he dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. Those 27 points gave Gadd a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cole Torrez, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points.

Grace Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Academy will head out to square off against North Hills Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. Grace Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.2 points per game this season. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Hickory Grove Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Hickory Grove Christian's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Metrolina Christian Academy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
