Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bingham walked away with it. They took down the Lone Peak Knights 49-33 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Miners as they're now sitting on five straight.
Stacia Peoples was the offensive standout of the contest as she went 5-for-7 en route to 14 points. What's more, she posted two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Veanna Pau'u, who shot 56% from the field on her way to 10 points and six rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Lone Peak saw an underclassman step up: freshman Peyton Warner put up 16 points. Maddie Pope was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.
Bingham's victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Lone Peak, they moved to 16-11 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
As of now, neither Bingham nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
