Sylmar found their leader in sophomore  Andrew Galvez, who  shot 50% from the field on his way to 30  points along with eight  boards and four  steals. The  match was  Galvez's fourth in a row with at least 16  points. Another player making a difference was  Tim Tanner, who  went 8-for-14  to rack up 18 points in addition to seven  rebounds and six  assists.
 Sylmar was working as a unit and  finished the game with 16  assists. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 4.8  assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 12.6.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Downtown Magnets beat Triumph Charter 57-51 on Thursday.

Lei continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Justin Huang, who  posted 13 points.
 Downtown Magnets pushed their record up to 23-7 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 59.6 points over those games. As for Sylmar, their win bumped their record up to 11-18.
