The Manvel Mavericks lost against the Fulshear Chargers back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Manvel took a 30-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fulshear. While losing is never fun, Manvel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Fulshear is ranked 30th).
Although Manvel took the loss, they still got scores from Kade Caton, Antoine Wilder, and Zion Holmes.
It was another big night for Davion Godley, who rushed for 203 yards while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Godley was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Manvel's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Fulshear, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Manvel will be playing in front of their home fans against Terry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Terry is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Fulshear, they will head out on the road to face off against Foster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
