Triton is 7-1 against Southern Lee since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Triton Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Southern Lee Cavaliers at 4:30  p.m. Hopefully Triton is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southern Lee in North Carolina (Triton is ranked 237th, while Southern Lee is ranked 560th).
 Triton can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Friday. They took their  game on the road  with ease, bagging a  63-11 win over Smithfield-Selma. That looming  63-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Triton yet this  season.
  Ja'Niah  Smith and  Nashara McNeil-Watlington were among the main playmakers for Triton as the former  scored 11 points along with five  steals and the latter  scored 21 points. Smith continues to roll, besting  her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  A'shari Watlington, who  scored 11 points.
 Meanwhile,  this season hasn't been kind to Southern Lee, who are still winless after their eighth match. They were dealt a  59-2 loss at the hands of Montgomery Central on Thursday. Southern Lee has struggled against Montgomery Central recently, as their  game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Triton now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Southern Lee, their loss was  their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  bumped their record down to 0-8.
 Everything came up roses for Triton against Southern Lee when the teams last played  back in February of 2021 as the  team secured a  55-12 win. With Triton ahead  30-6 at the half, the  contest was all but over already.
