West Point is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will be playing at home against the Apollo Hawks at 3:45 p.m. West Point is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
West Point's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Dobson 13-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

Adam Vasquez looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kenyer Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Marco Medina, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
West Point always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dobson only posted an OBP of .062.
Meanwhile, Apollo earned a 5-2 win over Boulder Creek on Friday.
Isaiah Holguin was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
West Point's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Apollo, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
West Point came out on top in a nail-biter against Apollo in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 6-5. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
