In what's become a running theme this season, the Mays Raiders gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They breezed by Banneker on the road to the tune of 81-47. 81 seems to be a good number for Mays as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Mays was led to victory by Davenport Cox and Derron Lindsey ii. Cox dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Lindsey ii dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 assists. Lindsey ii hasn't dropped below 15 points for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayshon Arrington, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Mays and bumps their season record up to 13-5. As for Banneker, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mays won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lithia Springs at 3:30 p.m. on January 27th. Lithia Springs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three games. As for Banneker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
