The Valley Mills Eagles suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Frost on the road and fell 68-26. Valley Mills was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-7.
Frost was led to victory by Brynna Banks and Brenda Manrriquez. Banks dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds, while Manrriquez dropped a triple-double on 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Manrriquez has scored at least a third of Frost's points. Another player making a difference was Karlee Anderson, who scored 11 points.
Valley Mills' loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Frost, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Mills will take on Itasca at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frost, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Italy at 6:15 p.m. on January 26th. Italy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1109th, while Frost is ranked 413th).
