Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Port Barre

Port Barre waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the North Iberville Bears with a sharp 17-2 win. Considering the Red Devils have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Port Barre's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for North Iberville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Barre will face off against St. Edmund at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Port Barre knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully St. Edmund likes a good challenge. As for North Iberville, they will challenge Family Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
