Perry Central wouldn't let Amite County keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Jordan Johnson, Dejohn Johnson, and Kameron Moody picked up one apiece. Jordan is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
The win made it two in a row for Wesson and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Perry Central, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
Everything came up roses for Wesson against Perry Central in their previous meeting back in September of 2023 as the team secured a 42-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wesson since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
