Baseball Recap: Windber Wins Going Away Against Berlin Brothersvalley

Windber barely beat Berlin Brothersvalley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Ramblers were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Mountaineers on Thursday. The Ramblers have beaten the Mountaineers the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mountaineers has come to flipping the script.

Lucas Rummel was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Serenko, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Windber always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Windber's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-2. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Windber will challenge Fannett Metal at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, they will square off against North Star at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
