Chase Ward continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 34 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Gage Voyles was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine assists and eight rebounds.
The victory (which was Coahulla Creek's third in a row) raised their record to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points per game. As for Ridgeland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coahulla Creek will take on Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 454th, while Coahulla Creek is ranked 150th). As for Ridgeland, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Southeast Whitfield County at 7:30 p.m. Southeast Whitfield County is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
