After flying high against North Bay Christian Academy on Saturday, the Patten Academy Bulldogs came back down to earth. Patten Academy fell 52-41 to Apostles Lutheran on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Patten Academy of the 43-33 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Wednesday.
When it comes to explaining why Patten Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Empire Hall. Despite the final result, he scored 35 points. That was a full 85.4% of Patten Academy's points, marking the 15th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Chad Chiu had an outrageously good game for Apostles Lutheran as he scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chiu has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lamek Medhanie, who scored five points along with 16 rebounds and three blocks.
Patten Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Apostles Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Patten Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Apostles Lutheran also has no future games currently scheduled.
