Softball Recap: Trimble Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Trimble hadn't done well against Belpre recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Tomcats came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 8-5. Winning may never get old, but the Tomcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Trimble pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Belpre, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Trimble didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-2 loss against Southern on the 17th. Hopefully Belpre paid attention to the Tomcats' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tomcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
