Hartshorne won the last time they faced Talihina and things went their way on Monday too. The Hartshorne Miners simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Talihina Golden Tigers 62-35. The Miners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.
Despite the defeat, Talihina saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Landen Griffith posted eight points and three steals. Griffith is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sam Bryant, who earned six points.
Hartshorne has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points over those games. As for Talihina, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.
