Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Fairview Yellowjackets walked away with it. They secured a  36-30 W over Maplewood on Friday. The  win was familiar territory for Fairview who now have three in a row.
  Travon Murry had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 311 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry.  Wendell Billingsley was another key contributor, rushing for 64 yards and two touchdowns.
 Despite the loss, Maplewood still got an impressive performance from   Ladavion Darden, who rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 92 yards and  a touchdown. Darden was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash  that went for 51 yards.
 Fairview's win was  their 11th straight at home  (dating back to last season), which  pushed their record up to 8-3. They've been dominating during the  contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.64 points. As for Maplewood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
 Fairview will face off against Liberty Creek at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Liberty Creek has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 285 points over their last six matches. Maplewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
