Cuba-Rushford scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They walked away with a 69-56 victory over Oswayo Valley. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Houghton Academy was beaten by Andover 67-40 on Friday. Houghton Academy has not had much luck with Andover recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Cuba-Rushford has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Houghton Academy, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Cuba-Rushford took their victory against Houghton Academy when the teams last played last Thursday by a conclusive 58-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cuba-Rushford since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
