Baseball Recap: Teays Valley Christian Has No Trouble Against Tri-State Homeschool

On Saturday, everything went the Teays Valley Christian Lions's way against the Tri-State HomeSchool Falcons as the Teays Valley Christian Lions made off with a 13-2 win.

Ryan Breeding and Sam Martin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Breeding struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Martin pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-low in hits. At the plate, Breeding went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Martin scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Brody Bradley was a standout: he scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Anderson Brookes was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Teays Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Teays Valley Christian will challenge Grace Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give Teays Valley Christian their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. Tri-State HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Teays Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on April 24th.
